It will give you an advantage but many companies have been successful without it. There are other Government-wide Acquisition Contract vehicles (GWACS) in the market. GSA Schedules is the only one with open enrollment year-round. Others are GSA 8a Stars, CIO-SP3, NASA SEWP, Alliant, etc.
